WELCOME

Sunshine FM is a leading community radio station on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia, broadcasting a mix of music, news and community information and is run entirely by volunteers. Sunshine FM commenced broadcasting on 104.9 MHz on the FM band in December 2002.

Sunshine FM broadcasts under a community radio licence granted by the Australian Communications and Media Authority. Programming must comply with the conditions of that licence; one being that the station caters for the general to mature listeners.

Sunshine FM is a “music based” radio station and the emphasis is on variety – playing the best mix of Easy Listening Music on the Sunshine Coast – popular music from the 1940’s right up to the present day which includes jazz, country, rock’n’roll hits and standards.
