2009 Senior Superstar

Senior Superstar Sunshine Coast showcases the talent of the region's seniors in a supportive and celebratory environment. The competion is a platform for self expression and encourages the appreciation of our seniors' talents and endeavours.

On 7 November over 1000 people enjoyed the entertainment provided by the extremely talented finalists who gave the judges a very difficult task in making the final selection.

Grand Final winners were the Likely Lads - Brian Williams from Buddina and Geoffrey Harod Eagles from Minyama with the song "Working where the sun don't shine!" - an amusing ditty about the pitfalls of being a below the waist surgeon!

Singer Johhny Bee with the Johnnie O'Keefe classic "She's my Baby" came second and third place was awarded to 87 year old Ann Finch who delighted the audience, including judge John Wood, with a medley of "Waltzing Matilda" and "Danny Boy" played on the harmonica.
