COMMUNITY
SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS
Sunshine FM is pleased to offer radio broadcast facilities to community and
non-profit organisation’s. However, Sunshine FM is wholly staffed by
volunteers and hence has limited resources. In order to assist the volunteers
to prepare your Community Service Announcement for broadcast, your request
must meet the following guidelines:
CUT-OFF
DATE
Announcements are to be received
at least 14 days prior to the event.
DELIVERY
Announcement to be entered into the Microsoft-Word template
(see Format section below) and emailed as an attachment to: comservs@sunshinefm.com.au
Faxed announcements can no longer
be accepted as they require the re-typing of the information into a computer
based document.
ACCEPTANCE
As a community radio station,
we only accept announcements from community and non-profit organisation’s.
Announcements deemed to be commercial in nature will be forwarded to our Sponsorship
Sales group for follow up.
EDITING
Announcements may be edited in order to comply with the community broadcasting
authority and 104.9 Sunshine FM regulations and policies.
CONTENT
- Announcements cannot exceed
20 seconds (approximately 60 words).
- Names of individuals can only be used in reference to speakers and performers
at the event.
- Announcements should not include specific prices but use a phrase such as
“.. and the admission price includes ..”
- Please ensure that the day, date, time and location of your event is
clearly stated.
- Requests for further information must be routed via Sunshine FM.

and number will not be broadcast
FORMAT
Upon contact with the station,
Sunshine FM will be more than happy to email you a 'Community Service
Announcement; template to follow. To open this template, simply double
click on the file in Windows Explorer or in your email program (i.e. Outlook)
and a working copy will be automatically created. Use the ‘Tab’
to move between data entry fields, name this working copy for your records
and email it back to us as an attachment
