President Gary Roydhouse
Gary hails from Geelong and has been a resident of the Sunshine Coast since 1989. Gary's 37 year broadcasting career covered everything from copywriter to talkback host, breakfast announcer and sports commentator working with the legendary Ted Whitten. He was also Program Director with Rhema FM Sunshine Coast. He is presently Senior Property Consultant with LJ Hooker. Gary's dedicated community involvement includes his election as Mayor of Newtown in 1988/89 and many years service to Apex and Rotary Clubs. Gary contracted Polio at the age of 10 days and was not expected to live. He was confined to a wheelchair until at the age of 12 until members of the Geelong Football Club took him under their collective wings. With their encouragement he soon left the wheelchair behind; climbed a mountain and won a 100 yard footrace! Gary has a philosophy that 'nothing is impossible…it just takes a little longer. He says "there is no such thing as a disability, we are all limited in one way or another.

Vice President David Woodrow AM
A Retired Army Colonel, Retired Headmaster, rescue helicopter promoter, Rotary youth leader, voluntary local controller for SES for 7 years and now involved with the committee for the Buderim War Memorial Community Association, David has had an impressive career serving the community before finding his way to Sunshine FM where is served as President for four years.

Secretary Val Hogan
As one of our dedicated volunteers, Val assists with the day to day running of the station and is often the friendly voice you hear when you call 104.9 Sunshine FM! During her nursing career Val worked in every state in Australia. She loves to travel, is a talented painter and her artwork has been sold around the world. Val is also a member of the Lions Club of Lake Currimundi-Kawana and Chairman of the Hearing Dogs organisation. This organisation is very close to her heart and you will often find her speaking to community groups about the great service these wonderful animals provide.

Treasurer Ken Peters OAM
Ken Peters comes from a banking career, moving with his family to the Sunshine Coast in 1980 from Victoria. Ken has been a board member of The Lions Club of Mooloolaba since 1980 and has been Chairman of many projects, including the 'Lions Annual Boat Show'. Treasurer Ken Peters OAM

Station General Manager Ken O'Flaherty (Ex Officio)
Ken has been involved in the media since the 1980's in both radio and newspapers. He managed a number of newspapers and worked for APN and other media organisations in sales and marketing until 1996 when, with his wife Lois, he founded the Buderim Chronicle newspaper. Ken has also owned businesses of his own including an advertising agency and a sign writing business. He has a vision to see Sunshine FM become "The Radio Station" for the mature radio listener on the Sunshine Coast.

Community Service Announcement Coordinator Nettie Knox
After spending 30 years working in school finance and administration, Nettie is delighted to find herself volunteering in radio, a completely new area of interest.Nettie and her husband moved to the Sunshine Coast 17 years ago, from the Redcliffe Peninsula, where they lived for nearly twenty years with their two children. She is also involved in other volunteering, and sings with local community choir, Oriana Concert Choir.

Engineering Manager Ray Sheldrick
Coming from experience with the ABC and being a director of a successful equipment supply company in Sydney before moving to the Sunshine Coast, Ray now has his own company supplying equipment to Radio and TV stations in this area as well as project management and assisting many Community Radio stations.

Promotions Manager David Corben
David Corben hails from Melbourne where he spent many years in Sales & Marketing in the manufacturing industry with one of the World's leading brands, prior to running his own small business for nine years. A resident of Buderim, David is closely involved with community live theatre and special events on the Sunshine Coast. Golden Days Radio in Melbourne had him on air Sunday mornings until lack of sleep got the better of him and listeners complained about the snoring!
